Haberdash, Inc. , owners of one of the best known men's boutiques in Chicago and synonymous with modern trend meeting old school philosophy, has launched a new lifestyle concept in River North.
Haberdash EDC (which derives from the military term “every day carry” and generally refers to smaller items or gadgets an individual carries to prepare for the day's challenges) will carry an expanded collection of footwear and fashion accessories normally found at haberdash (in Old Town) with lines such as The Hill-Side, Tanner Goods, and Alden.
The shop will also house basic "EDC" items including pens, pocketknives, flashlights, and tech accessories in brands such as Benchmark, Victorinox, and 4Sevens. The collection will align as the perfect counterpart for the authentic, heritage looks haberdash has become known for.
“We couldn’t be more thrilled to expand our brand with the addition of haberdash EDC,” say haberdash co-owners Adam Beltzman and Jerry Kamhi. “It is our belief that haberdash EDC will help men from all over truly learn to appreciate that great style is not only a way of dress but a way of life.”
Haberdash EDC will also feature an expanded apothecary section with lines including Santa Maria Novella, Truefitt & Hill, Baxter, and Kent. A vintage barber chair equipped with haircut and shave capabilities completes the interior and will potentially include a shoe shine at a later time.
